This can be confirmed by contacting a Ford dealer's service department using your VIN number to see if the dealer can install the Ford remote start part # KN1Z-19A361-A on your specific Transit. If they say they can, then you can also install this equivalent system. Some trim levels may still require FORScan or FDRS access thru the vehicle's OBD2 port to enable the remote start feature in the BCM before the remote start can activate. If you can already remotely start the vehicle via the Ford app, then you're good to go; the vehicle's setting in the BCM is already ON.
