• Brake Pedal Monitoring: If the vehicle's brake pedal is stepped on before the ignition is turned on, the remote starter will immediately shut down.
   
• OEM Hood-Pin Monitoring: The remote start will not activate when the vehicle's hood is open, shut down upon opening, and also prevent activation when defective or the vehicle is not equipped with an OEM open hood pin switch (required).
   
• Engine Performance Monitoring: The system will detect any current or stored DTCs, which will prevent the remote start from activating.
   
• Low Fuel Detection: The remote start will not activate when the low fuel light is on.
